This is a great time of year as most of the copperhead eggs are now hatching!

Haha I'm too familiar with Photoshop to fall for that one. Besides the fact that they are totally disproportionate. Wink

Yes, I agree it fails miserably. Copperheads don't lay eggs nor do they hatch from chicken eggs. Neonate copperheads have bright yellow tail tip. There are a several technical errors pertaining to scale, perspective, lighting, shadows, etc..

LOL, I didn't know they didn't lay eggs, but I was wondering why the pic looked funny and the eggs didn't appear to be a snake egg.

I found a bunch of wild snake eggs once and set them up in my incubator to see what hatched... Mom was convinced they would all hatch into little copperheads lol!

I assured her that was impossible but I dont think she believed me 100%

A couple months later three little rough green snakes hatched out... they were so small they had trouble eating week old crickets! Let them go in a safe spot near where I found them and havent heard from them again *single tear in corner of eye

lol, that is kinda sad. i used to go looking for injured animals when i was younger (i wanted to be a vet) and id nurse them back to health and release them back where i found them. it was always hard to let them go, i knew id never see them again and id never now if they survived or went and got themselves injured again Sad but i felt like i was doing a good thing....

When we went field collecting we would note where we found them and if the animal didn't take to captivity we would let them go at the same place. Thinking home sweet home.
