PostSubject: Anyone in VA ever go to Colorado?   Sun Sep 29, 2013 9:24 pm

This is a random question, but do any of you on here ever go to Colorado for any reason?

I am a big fan of box turtles, and I am looking to have one of each type found in the US for my personal collection.

I found a rescue in Colorado that has both the ornate and desert, and he's willing to let me adopt them both, which rocks. The catch is, he doesn't believe in shipping (at all, he has an ethical issue with it). I have no family or anything on that side of the country (so no reason to go), and for what it would cost to just go there I could just buy an bunch of them on Kingsnake.

I'd rather rescue, though, if the option is available.

If someone on here is already going to Colorado for any reason, but lives in VA and will be returning here, (assuming you drove there and assuming you were close to the rescue in Dillon) would you be willing to transport two rescue turtles? I'd be willing to pay as long as it wasn't insane, as I would have paid for shipping if he shipped animals.

What area do you go to? Would you be willing to bring back two box turtles? I'd drive to VA Beach for them, that I can do.

I see. If you go in the future would you be (theoretically) willing?

What about Delta dash? It isn't quite shipping, but flying directly.

I don't think he believes in any form of 'shipping'. I don't really get it, I mean, if he's worried about traumatizing the turtles I feel like a day or two of driving might be worse. :/

I guess I could suggest it to him.
