PostSubject: Dubia temps   Sun Mar 31, 2013 4:08 pm

What would you consider too high of a temp for dubia? I moved from a 6"x8" heat pad with a hot spot of 95 up to a 10"x12" heat pad with a hot spot of 105. The ambient temp before was 82 and now it is 88-95. I worried about this going up about five degrees in the summer time.

Will I see any gains from this increase or will I halt my production?

Thanks.

I'm not sure if there's any benefit to going over the lower 90s. I keep about half of each tub at ~90 and see pretty solid production. You should be getting an average of 20-30 nymphs per month per adult female.

I probably have 60-80 females and only get about 30 every other day.

85 - 95, temps and diet seem to affect breeding habits. I usually keep around 90 up to 95. Id cut back from 105. Ive noticed quite a boost on new set up
