Kind of reminds me of a kitten acting like a big bad gangster. Did you catch it mid yawn?

Don you're right. When mammals yawn we typically close our eyes. Baring teeth with eyes open is a usually a sign of aggression. A simple yawn from a well mannered snake gives the illusion of aggression.

Impressive!! We keep a female corn snake for somebody at the moment and she has always been very aggressive, not sure what is the cause. It was a rescue, the night we got them they were starving so bad several corn snakes started to eat each other..... The babies... Today that corn in particular (was the most aggressive one) is very well fed and cared about but still acts crazily. Rattles its tail, very agitated, etc... I don't know if she will ever change, never seen corn snake being constantly like that!

Beautiful picture though!! cheers Very Happy Pretty snake!
