hey i have a female bp that is aprox 3-4 years old. i rescued her a few onths back and she has been eating perfectly like a champ since i got her. i dont know if there is anything wrong, but for the past 2 months she hasnt eaten. i know bps sometimes decided they dont want to eat but like i said shes always been my best eater. the heat and humidity are ok they have not changed and she moves around the tank normally, she just doesnt eat. any suggestions?

Have you tried skipping a week and stepping down a size in prey?

At three or four years old she is mature enough to breed. Some females will stop eating this time of year because it's breeding time. If she was a rescue I assume she was in bad shape when you got her. I personally wouldn't breed her after only a few months of proper care. Step down in prey size and just know that she may slow down feeding over the winter. Good luck.

yes i just started trying a size smaller 2 weeks ago but still nothing.

yea she was in pretty bad shape. severely dehydrated, and underweight with 2 times shed on her so yea, but i had not intended on breeding her at all. it is nice to know that that could be what it is. thanks alot

I would get a cheap scale if you don't have one and keep track of her weight. As long as she isn't losing to much weight to quickly, I would just call it a winter fast.
