PostSubject: A surprise...   Mon Dec 31, 2012 1:30 pm

So I have three Bearded Dragons that are all homed together... a male and what I was told was 2 females... the male was a previous breeder that can no longer breed and likes he company of the females... I went home for the holidays and my buddy that was watching them mentioned that they were fighting... I got home and quickly realized it was not fighting, in fact the two females were actually a female and a male and they were breeding...

Now the problem, I'm not set up for this yet, I'm working on building an iccubator but won't have it ready for a few weeks and I know they don't stay gravid long before lating eggs.... I'm putting together a nesting box today but any advice/help would be greatly appreciated lol

Assuming they are fertile You could always grab a smaller incubator like a hovabator for the time being.

If I get paid before she lays I will do that, that'd what's holding me up now, money lol... holidays have hurt my extra money fund... if she does lay before I can get an incubator, and they are fertile I was hoping maybe someone on here might be able to take them from me ether for the entire incubation or until I can get mine set up...

He is about 2 she is 1.5 both may be a bit older... I got them when they were just over 1.5 and 1 and about 6 months ago... they did go through a hibernation period before it all started happening... as for the lock I know for SURE last night and this morning, but about a week or so ago when my buddy was watching the male was trying to mount the female but no confirmed lock, but he came and checked on them in the evenings while I was gone so it may have happened while I was gone as well... she is going in a nesting box in about an hour when I'm done building it up... now what I have read is until she lays a week with the male a week away cycle is what is recommended is that right? I have been trying to look up info on it as much as possible now since I was never intending on breeding them... my breeding that I have been planning on is all geared towards ball pythons lol
