PostSubject: Breeding Boas   Fri Jul 13, 2012 12:01 pm

I have a female Colombian Red Tail boa named Isis. She was a slow starter. I got her in 2008 as a baby. I just weighed her today and she is 5.4lbs. Now, I know this is nowhere near breeding size, but I was wondering if anyone here breeds boas. If so, at what size do you breed your females and your males. I plan on getting a hypo het albino male to raise up to breed to her.

I've been told to wait until she is at least 10lbs. Is this a good starting weight for breeding?
